How does global warming affect photosynthesis

Climate change affects plants in many different ways. Increasing CO(2) concentration can increase photosynthetic rates. This is especially pronounced for C(3) plants, at high temperatures and under water-limited conditions. Increasing temperature also affects photosynthesis, but plants have a considerable ability to adapt to their growth conditions and can function even at extremely high temperatures, provided adequate water is available. Temperature optima differ between species and growth conditions, and are higher in elevated atmospheric CO(2). With increasing temperature, vapour pressure deficits of the air may increase, with a concomitant increase in the transpiration rate from plant canopies. However, if stomata close in response to increasing CO(2) concentration, or if there is a reduction in the diurnal temperature range, then transpiration rates may even decrease. Soil organic matter decomposition rates are likely to be stimulated by higher temperatures, so that nutrients can be more readily mineralised and made available to plants. This is likely to increase photosynthetic carbon gain in nutrient-limited systems. All the factors listed above interact strongly so that, for different combinations of increases in temperature and CO(2) concentration, and for systems in different climatic regions and primarily affected by water or nutrient limitations, photosynthesis must be expected to respond differently to the same climatic changes.

Mercury contamination is a concern with every type of fish.

This is actually a true statement. However, there are relative amounts of mercury that are higher in some species and lower in others. Eating fish in moderate amounts and being cognizant of the relative amounts in different varieties (more in shark and tuna, while less in crab and lobster) can help a person make smarter choices.

Consider the impact of each substance on cellular respiration. Each substance has an influence at the cellular level, and has no
stellarik [79]

Answer:

The correct answer is "Weight loss".

Explanation:

 • If the influence of material is such that it adversely affects the attachment of NAD+ to electrodes, it can help people lose weight. This because it will indeed necessarily imply that perhaps the ATP throughout the cells would've been whittled down unless the compound NADH could not have been established.
 • This also suggests that because the body doesn't obtain adequate ATP, this also contributes to the breakdown of fat into some kind of type of stored energy which always promotes weight loss throughout the turn.

Growth is accompanied by two factors...

a) by increase in ___ b) increase in ___
nata0808 [166]

The correct answers are sex hormones and thyroid hormones.

Hormones

In multicellular animals, a hormone is any member of a class of signaling molecules that is carried by complex biological mechanisms to distant organs to control physiology and behavior. The proper development of fungi, plants, and animals depends on hormones. The broad definition of a hormone (a signaling molecule that functions beyond from its point of production) allows for the classification of a wide range of molecular classes as hormones. Eicosanoids (such as prostaglandins and thromboxanes), steroids (such as oestrogen and brassinosteroid), amino acid derivatives (such as epinephrine and auxin), protein/peptides (such as insulin and CLE peptides), and gases are among the substances that can be termed hormones (e.g. ethylene and nitric oxide).
