T.b. gambiense sleeping sickness is transmitted from human to human by the tsetse fly which is the most common form of transmission. As some animals can host the human pathogenic parasite, transmission can occasionally take place directly from animals to humans, which is believed to be one of the causes of the long term maintenance of the disease in endemic areas. However the epidemiological importance of such zoonotic transmission is poorly understood.

The transmission of pathogens from current to future host follows a repeating cycle. This cycle can be simple, with a direct transmission from current to future host, or complex, where transmission occurs through (multiple) intermediate hosts or vectors.

Where is the best place in a circuit to find out absolute zero when measuring voltage
vaieri [72.5K]

Your voltmeter and your teacher are both right, but the water analogy of electricity can only go so far. One big drawback is that, unlike with water, there is no absolute voltage. .... Wherever you put the black lead is defined as "0V". .... flowing (i.e. the circuit is broken) you will not get this change in voltage.

Two brooms leave town at the same time going in opposite directions. One travels at 45 mi/hr. The other travels at 30 mi/hr. In
expeople1 [14]

Answer:

53.33 hours or 53 hours and 20 minutes.

Explanation:

Given, one travels at 45 miles/hr and another 30 miles/hour.

Let, the slower broom, S1 = 30t

According to the Question,

S1 + 800 = 45t....... (1)

S1 = 45t - 800......(2)

t is constant for because time is equal for both.

Now, putting (1) in equation (2),

30t = 45t - 800

30t - 45t = - 800

15t = 800

t = 53.33

So, the answer is 53.33 hours.
