<u>Answer:</u>

The x-intercept and the y-intercept of the graph of by + ax = c is \frac{c}{a} \text { and } \frac{c}{b} respectively

<u>Solution:</u>

Given, line equation is by + ax = c.

We have to find the y – intercept and x – intercept for the above given line equation.

Now, we know that, y – intercept is y value when line meets y – axis.

And x becomes 0 when line meets y – axis.

\text { Then by }+a(0)=c \rightarrow \text { by }=c \rightarrow y=\frac{c}{b}

So, the y – intercept value is  \frac{c}{b}

Now, x – intercept in x value when line meets x – axis

And y becomes 0 when line meets x – axis.

\text { Then } b(0)+a x=c \rightarrow a x=c \rightarrow x=\frac{c}{a}

So, the x – intercept value is \frac{c}{a}

Hence, the x – intercept and y – intercept of line is \frac{c}{a} and \frac{c}{b}

A study will be conducted to investigate whether there is a difference in the mean weights between two populations of raccoons.
enyata [817]

Answer:

<h2>In this case,the answer would be option d) given in the answer choices or options or  A two-sample t-test for a difference between population means.</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

  • In Statistics,a two sample test is generally used to examine or compare two different population means with the main objective to verify whether the population means are equal or otherwise.
  • The two sample t-test basically involves the hypothesis testing to determine or verify the equality between two concerned population means.
  • In this case,the two different populations of raccoons are given and the equality of the mean sample weights of the two distinct populations can be determined or evaluated by employing the hypothesis testing method under a two sample t test for measuring difference in two population means.
