In this secondary division, more precisely in the anaphase II, the centromere divides <u>(this process does not happen in the meiosis I anaphase I, where homologous chromosomes move together to opposite poles)</u> and sister chromatids move to opposite poles, leaving four individual cromatids following a cytoplasmatic division forming four new haploid cells.
