I would say C because the king did repeatedly abuse our rights. Like the intolerable acts for instance shut down the port of massachusetts and hurt trade. Also the quartering act the sugar act the stamp act and a few more that evntually led us to civil war with him. We peacefully sent the king a olive tree branch petition which was supposed to be a sign of peace. But he rejected it and called us in full rebellion. So we fought for ourselves and won the civil war and made friends with britain as our main trade partner.
The answer would be the first choice "<span>National sentiment did not favor polygamy, and Congress did not want to upset the public." Furthermore, as explained in the Section 1-2 of the Oklahoma Constitution:
"</span>Perfect toleration of religious sentiment shall be secured, and no inhabitant of the State shall ever be abused in person or property on account of his or her mode of religious worship; and no religious test shall be required for the exercise of civil or political rights. Polygamous or plural marriages are forever prohibited."
He encouraged a widespread fear of Communism.
McCarthyism effectively pushed for an anti-communist rethoric that often accused people of being "soviet spies" without any proof. These people were subject to discrimination (in the form of being kicked out of your job because someone shouted "he's a commie!" in public) and unfair trials thanks to McCarthy himself and the Red Scare, which coincided with each other.
