So, we know that Jane received $9 out of the $30. 

Divide 9 by 30. 

9/30= .3

Turn that into a percentage. 

.3= 30%

We can check this by finding the other percentages. 

Ruth= 15  15/30= .5 50% 

Mary= 6 6/30= .2 20%

30%+20%+50%= 100% <== this works
