t, what could the mockingbird symbolize?
Mockingbirds don't do one thing but make music for us to enjoy. They don't eat up people's gardens, don't nest in corncribs, they don't do one thing but sing their hearts out for us. That's why it's a sin to kill a mockingbird.

The mockingbird symbolizes the beauty of music because it gives immense pleasure to people through its melodious singing.

Based on this excerpt, the mockingbird symbolizes <span>the softer side of nature, because unlike most wild creatures, it doesn’t harm human habitat.
The mockingbird is used to symbolize innocence - just like the bird is innocent and does nothing to harm others, the young protagonists of the books are kind and innocent, and often suffer because of it. It is a sin to kill someone's innocence, just like it is a sin to kill such a beautiful and harmless bird.

Figurative is incorrect - it uses words or expressions which differ from their literal meaning.

Emotional is not a term that is used and therefore doesn't make sense.
