The British made it more attractive for settlers to come to North America. Land ownership was allowed. In some colonies, there was religious freedom. The people had their own legislatures in the colonies. There were more rights for the colonists, such as the right to a jury trial and the right to bring complaints to the King. As a result, the British colonies grew quicker and were more successful than the colonies established by the French.

Why might many people in the Southeast culture area have been farmers?
Lorico [155]

Most of the people in the Southeast culture did tended to be farmers, and the reasons for this are very simple:

- Climate; the climate was excellent for farming, warm and moist for most of the year, with more than enough precipitation and sunlight.

- Soil; the soil was very fertile, which was enabled by the deposits made every year by the rivers, and also because the climate was perfect for quick dissolving of the biomass which is essential for creating a fertile layer of soil.

- Water; apart from the high amount of precipitation, there's also lots of rivers in this part that were enabling that the plants can be watered all year long.

- Agricultural cultures available; the agricultural cultures that were native for this part were highly demanded and very profitable, which of course was a big stimulation for large scale farming.

Which statement about the New Deal is correct?
Alina [70]

The answer is It was unable to end the Depression.

The new deal was helpfull but it did not end the Great Depression although it introduced types of social and economic reforms which had a long-term effect on the country. For example, Congress passed the Agricultural Adjustment Act (AAA) which really helped farmers until 1936 and the SSA, Social Security Act, of 1935 which still helps people to this day.

It is true that the New Deal helped people get jobs during the Great Depression but it only really ended with World War two.
