Answer:

The Monk's Tale is one of the stories in "The Canterbury Tales" by Geoffrey Chaucer. The pilgrims were made to each narrate a story to pass the time and this is how it came into being. One of these pilgrims is the Monk, who narrates a number of tragedy stories among the many stories he knows by heart. His stories tells of "the fall of those who stood in high degree" (The Monk's Tale).

Explanation:

In all of the stories told by the Monk, the themes of a fall of fortune all seems to resonate in them. One of those stories is that of the fall of Lucifer.

Lucifer was regarded as one of the most high angels in God's kingdom. He was even named "<em>morning star</em>". But due to his arrogance, pride and self given importance, he became overcome with so much ego. He decided to revolt against God, resulting in him being thrown out of heaven. To this day, he is still in hell, suffering for the mistakes he had committed.

after reading “for the birds” do you think putting out bird feeders is a good idea support your answer with evidence from the te
Andrews [41]

Answer:

After reading the article, I still believe that feeding the birds is a good idea.

Explanation:

The article shows that installing feeders that provide food to birds is a good action, but that it may not satisfy the real needs of birds, as each of them has a different nutritional need, and feeding them can expose them to dangers that they would not have in the urban environment.

However, even in the face of the negative points, I believe that installing bird feeders remains a good idea, since, with increasingly strong deforestation, birds have been experiencing difficult situations to find food, water and sometimes even shelter. Thus, being able to help them at least by feeding them is a noble and commendable step.

How does Snow use different sections such as "Pathology Indicates Manner of Communication" to build his argument?
Elza [17]

In the section "Pathology Indicates Manner of Communication," Snow explains the nature of cholera and argues that the study of the disease will help scientists understand how it spreads and how it can be averted. He combines his knowledge of the characteristics of the disease with his clinical experiences to build his argument.

He continues to build his case through other sections of the essay. For example, in "Cases Proving Person to Person Transmission," he provides evidence from other cases to support his theory that cholera is spread between people. Then, in another section, he maps an outbreak that occurred on Broad Street, connecting the affected individuals to a single water pump. After making these supporting arguments, he arrives at his main argument that cholera spreads through contaminated water.

In sum, Snow discusses a different concept in each section; these sections complement one another to build a complete, effective argument. The section labels help the reader follow Snow's line of thinking by mapping the main points.
