Well let’s simplify the problem.

If we take one sandwich it would be 1: and if we add the fact that for every one sandwich 3 new sandwiches were made, we can make a 1:3 ratio. If for every 1 sandwich there are 3 more sandwiches then we would multiply the beginning amount of 20 sandwiches to both numbers in the ratio so it stays equivalent.

1 x 20 = 20
3 x 20 = 60

So we can say now that the ratio for 20 sandwich pieces there are 60 new sandwich pieces.

The new ratio being 20:60 thus the amount of sandwiches after they were cut in thirds is 60 sandwiches

Answer = 60 sandwiches

Find the range of possible measures of x if each set of expressions represents measures of the sides of a triangle.
sergiy2304 [10]

Answer:

 • C. x > 3/2

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the triangle inequality theorem, any side length is less than the sum of the other two:

 • x < 2x + 1 + x + 4 ⇒ x < 3x + 5 ⇒ 2x > - 5 ⇒ x > - 2.5
 • 2x + 1 < x + x + 4 ⇒ 2x + 1 < 2x + 4 ⇒ 1 < 4, any value of x
 • x + 4 < x + 2x + 1 ⇒ x + 4 < 3x + 1 ⇒ 2x > 3 ⇒ x > 3/2

Common solution of the three inequalities above is:

 • x > 3/2

Correct choice is C

UNO [17]

Answer:

The answer is x = - 30, by using the Subtraction Property of Equality.

Step-by-step explanation:

Solve for x:

-2 = x + 28

Turn the equation over:

x + 28 = -2

-Subtract both sides by 28 by using Subtraction Property of Equality:

x + 28 - 28 = -2 - 28

x = -30

So, the final answer is x = -30 .
