Use a graphing calculator to solve the equation

3 tan 1/3x =8

In the interval from 0 to 2pie Round your answers to the nearest hundredth.

Given equation is 3 tan(\frac{1}{3} x)= 8

To graph this equation we write the given equation as

y= 3 tan(\frac{1}{3} x) - 8

The graph is attached below

From the graph the value of x  is 3.636

When round to two decimal place, the value of x = 3.64

Prove that: (secA-cosec A) (1+cot A +tan A) =( sec^2A/cosecA)-(Cosec^2A/secA)<br>
Ksju [112]

Step-by-step explanation:

(\sec A - \csc A)(1 + \cot A + \tan A)

=(\sec A - \csc A)\left(1 + \dfrac{\cos A}{\sin A} + \dfrac{\sin A}{\cos A} \right)

=(\sec A - \csc A)\left(1 + \dfrac{\cos^2 A + \sin^2 A}{\sin A\cos A} \right)

=(\sec A - \csc A)\left(\dfrac{1 + \sin A \cos A}{\sin A \cos A} \right)

=\left(\dfrac{\frac{1}{\cos A} - \frac{1}{\sin A}+\sin A - \cos A}{\sin A\cos A}\right)

=\dfrac{\sin A - \sin A \cos^2A - \cos A + \cos A\sin^2A}{(\sin A\cos A)^2}

=\dfrac{\sin A(1 - \cos^2A) - \cos A (1 - \sin^2 A)}{(\sin A\cos A)^2}

=\dfrac{\sin^3A - \cos^3A}{\sin^2A\cos^2A}

=\dfrac{\sin A}{\cos^2A} - \dfrac{\cos A}{\sin^2A}

=\left(\dfrac{1}{\cos A}\right)\left(\dfrac{\sin A}{1}\right) - \left(\dfrac{1}{\sin^2A}\right) \left(\dfrac{\cos A}{1}\right)

=\sec^2A\csc A -  \csc^2A\sec A

Donalita ate 5 out of every 7 candies in a jar. If she ate 25 candies, what fraction represents the number of candies she ate ov
kari74 [83]

Answer:

25/35

Step-by-step explanation:

5 times 7 equals 35 and that means that this is the denominator because that is our total amount.

5 times 5 equals 25 and that makes it the numerator because that is what is being taken out of 5 jars

Hopefully this helps you :)
