Short essay that compares servitude and slavery.

History
1 answer:
Degger [83]3 years ago

Servitude and slavery are similar because they both require you to work for someone and can be sold, inherited, or loaned through the transaction between the owner and someone else.

However, servitude and slavery is different because servitude is only required to work for a couple of years in exchange of land, clothing and/money. Slaves are required to work for all of their lives and this job is hereditary which means that their children would become slaves as well.

Hope this helps!

What are some negative things about Andrew Jackson
gizmo_the_mogwai [7]
The major negative thing Andrew Jackson is remembered for is the forced relocation of many Native Americans, particularly in the southeastern portion of the United States. He also triggered an economic depression by refusing to renew the charter of the Second Bank of the United States and then instituting inflation-control policies that triggered a panic, but that was primarily blamed on his successor, Martin Van Buren.

How long was the average workday during the early years of the industrial revolution
Stella [2.4K]

The average work day was probably fourteen to sixteen hours. Electric lights allowed for workers to work longer, and not just when it was light outside. Therefore, the work day was increased.

NATO and the Warsaw Pact were two competing alliances during which time period? :
Dahasolnce [82]
The correct answer is D. NATO and the Warsaw Pact were two competing alliances during the Cold War. Cold War was a state of political and military tension between powers in the Western Bloc (US and its NATO allies) and Eastern Bloc (the Soviet Union and its allies in the Warsaw pact). The term "cold" is used because there were no direct conflict between the two superpowers. It is usually considered that the Cold War begun in 1947 and ended in 1991, with the fall of the Soviet Union and many other communistic regimes.
