A satire is a literature full of wit that it employs sarcasm and only those who are aware of what the satire is truly about will understand the hidden message it is trying to convey. Other simply accept it as a work of fiction and literature.

The most famous writer that uses satire during the Enlightenment period was Voltaire, a french philosopher. His most famous work was a comic novella entitled Candide

I think its an Idiom. I don't see like or as. So no simile. I don't see he is something like a marshmallow. - No metaphor. I also don't see a non-human thing doing human things- the grass was dancing in the wind. My answer would be an idiom.
