The points (0, 8) and (2, 10) fall on a particular line. What is its equation in slope-intercept form?
Sergio [31]

Hello!

Explanation:

Slope-intercept form: → y=mx+b

m: represents the slope and is constant.

b: represents the y-intercept.

rise/run

\frac{rise}{run}

m=\frac{y^2-y^1}{x^2-x^1}

x^1,y^1=(0,8)

x^2,y^2=(2,10)

\frac{10-8=2}{2-0=2}

\frac{2}{2}=1

<em><u>Therefore, the slope is 1.</u></em>

There are no y-intercept.

Answer: → \boxed{=1}

Hope this helps!

20 feet to 8 yards as a simplest form
defon
If you would like to know how much is 20 feet to 8 yards as a simplest form, you can calculate this using the following steps:

1 yard = 3 feet
8 yards = 8 * 3 feet = 24 feet

20 feet / 8 yards = 20 feet / 24 feet = 20 / 24 = 10 / 12 = 5 / 6

The correct result would be 5/6.

−1/3−(−1/2)
Radda [10]

Hi ;-)

-\frac{1}{3}-(-\frac{1}{2})=-\frac{1}{3}+\frac{1}{2}=-\frac{2}{6}+\frac{3}{6}=\frac{3}{6}-\frac{2}{6}=\frac{1}{6}\\\\3\frac{1}{3}-5=-(5-3\frac{1}{3})=-(4\frac{3}{3}-3\frac{1}{3})=-1\frac{2}{3}\\\\-1\frac{4}{5}-(-2\frac{7}{8})=-1\frac{4}{5}+2\frac{7}{8}=-1\frac{32}{40}+2\frac{35}{40}=2\frac{35}{40}-1\frac{32}{40}=1\frac{3}{40}\\\\-3\frac{3}{8}-\frac{7}{8}=-(3\frac{3}{8}+\frac{7}{8})=-3\frac{10}{8}=-3\frac{5}{4}=-4\frac{1}{4}\\\\4\frac{3}{4}-(-1\frac{1}{12})=4\frac{9}{12}+1\frac{1}{12}=5\frac{10}{12}
