This is a very complex issue, and we will start with what the Bible does not teach. Fate is usually thought of as a predetermined course of events beyond human control. A typical response to a belief in fate is resignation—if we can’t change destiny, then why even try? Whatever happens, happens, and we can’t do anything about it. This is called “fatalism,” and it is not biblical.

Fatalism is a major premise of Islam, which demands total submission to the sovereignty of Allah. It is widely held in Hinduism, too; in fact, it is a fatalistic view of life that helps keep India’s caste system in place. Greek mythology told of the Moirai, or the Fates, three goddesses pictured as weavers of men’s lives. Their decisions could not be canceled or annulled, even by other gods. Again, fatalism is not a biblical concept.

The significance of the conversation between Sierra and her friends about how their neighborhood is changing is the foreshadowing of the shapeshifters.

What is Foreshadowing?

This refers to the literary technique that is used to show the prediction or hint about future events in a story.

Hence, we can see that although your question is incomplete, I can infer that you refer to the book Shapeshifter and the foreshadowing used shows the mayhem that is about to befall the neighborhood when dark shapes begin to move as they are possessed by spirits.

The meter, if any, from the line is ?
A waste of breath the years behind
brilliants [131]
Yes, there is a meter to this line.
Given that there are 8 syllables in this line, that would mean this is a tetrameter. One meter consists of 2 syllables, so if there are 8 syllables in a line, that would mean there are 4 meters, which in literature is called a tetrameter.
Also, when you take into consideration the unstressed and stressed syllables, you see that here the sequence goes: unstressed, stressed, unstressed, stressed, etc. which are qualities of iamb.
So, this line is written in iambic tetrameter.

Narrative essay: Peer pressure.a silent destroyer
Furkat [3]

When peers pressurize an individual, indirectly or directly, into doing something dangerous, illegal, or evil deed, it is known as peer pressure The most common example of peer pressure among youngsters is underage drinking, substance abuse, smoking, performing dangerous stunts, etc. Most adolescents give in to peer pressure because they don’t want to get on anyone’s wrong side, and they want to fit in. Listening to his gut and believing in himself, learning to say no, think a lot before making any decision are all the pointers that a kid should keep in mind to avoid peer pressure. Teachers and parents should interact with the children to trust their adults and alert them if they face peer pressure. The children should befriend someone who has already met peer pressure and resisted it to aid them in facing such situations. Peer pressure is faced by individuals of all genders, ethnicities, and ages, so it is tough to resist. As adolescents think they can make an independent decision because they have grown up physically, they are easily influenced by peer pressure. Peer pressure can be faced either face-to-face or through digital platforms, as social media provides them with opportunities. If a youngster is unable to resist peer pressure, it might ruin his future, including his studies and career, so it is necessary to fight it when possible.
