The Native Population decreased for numerous reasons in New England. The first being diseases and illnesses. The Natives were not immune to diseases like the colonists were, so when the colonists came it heavily affected them and killed a lot of them. A famous one was the 1616 plague, this killed so many different Native tribes. Another reason for the decrease in American Indians were the wars. When the colonists came to the Americas, many of them clashed over land and got into wars. The Natives were outnumbered and did not have the tools or weapons to fight the colonists so many of them died, along with this, the ones who survived, many colonists turned to slavery and sold Natives (they were later replaced with African Americans, as they had stronger immune systems and more numbers). Many Natives ended up losing their land after the siding with the French during the French and Indian War, so when the French lost, the Indians ultimately lost all of their land to the colonists and had to move to reservations.

What is the fundamental motivation of the Anti-Federalists in authoring the First Amendment?
Darina [25.2K]
Answer: D

The Anti-Federalists opposed the ratification of the 1787 U.S. Constitution because they feared that the new national government would be too powerful and thus threaten individual liberties, given the absence of a bill of rights.
Their opposition was an important factor leading to the adoption of the First Amendment and the other nine amendments that constitute the Bill of Rights.

Name two actions taken by the continental congress that uses the Authority given to it by the articles of confederation
timofeeve [1]

Answer:

Two actions taken by the Continental Congress from functions conferred on it by the Articles of Confederation were, for example, the development of military operations during the Revolutionary War, and the establishment of the currency of the United States (colloquially called "continental ").

Thus, the Articles of Confederation, created in 1777, unified the former American colonies into a Confederation governed by a congress made up of members from each of those colonies, through equal representation. Its main functions were to guide the country in the war against Great Britain, as well as to organize the nation economically (although without being able to collect taxes, and delegating many monetary and financial functions to the states).
