The answer is B and C

5(1/3x+7)-3(1/2x-4) doing the distributive property  = 5/3x+35-3/2x+12 converts to 1 2/3x +35-1 1/2x+12 and simplified to 1/6x +47

Hope that helps

Find the inflection point of the function of f(x) = x³ -6x² +12x
Wewaii [24]

Points of inflections are zeroes of the second derivative. We have:

f(x)=x^3-6x^2+12x\implies f'(x)=3x^2-12x\implies f''(x)=6x-12

So, the second derivative equals zero if and only if

f''(x)=0\iff 6x-12=0 \iff 6x=12 \iff x=2

So, this is the only point of inflection of this function.

scZoUnD [109]

Given :

Natalie is going mountain biking. She can buy a bike for $250 or she can rent a bike for $30 an hour.

In both cases, she must also rent a helmet for $5 an hour.

To Find :

Which inequality shows the number of hours Natalie must bike for the cost of buying a bike to be less than renting a bike.

Solution :

Let, after t hours total money required is ( if she rent bike ).

T = 30t.

Money required to purchase bike , M = $250.

For cost of buying a bike to be less than renting a bike :

30t>250\\\\t > \dfrac{25}{3}\ hours\\\\t>8\dfrac{1}{3}\ hours\\\\t>8\ hours \ 20 \ minutes

Hence, this is the required solution.

Find an equation of the line that has the given slope and contains the given point. m=7/3 (1,6)
iris [78.8K]

The point-slope form:

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

We have the point (1, 6) and the slope m = 7/3. Substitute:

y-6=\dfrac{7}{3}(x-1)      <em>use distributive property</em>

y-6=\dfrac{7}{3}x-\dfrac{7}{3}          <em>add 6 to both sides</em>

y=\dfrac{7}{3}x+\dfrac{11}{3}        <em>multiply both sides by 3</em>

3y=7x+11           <em>subtract 7x from both sides</em>

-7x+3y=11         <em>change the signs</em>

7x-3y=-11

Answer:

point-slope form: y-6=\dfrac{7}{3}(x-1)

slope-intercept form: y=\dfrac{7}{3}x+\dfrac{11}{3}

standard form: 7x-3y=-11
