Suppose that the four inspectors at a film factory are supposed to stamp the expiration date on each package of film at the end

of the assembly line. john, who stamps 20% of the packages, fails to stamp the expiration date once in every 200 packages; tom, who stamps 60% of the packages, fails to stamp the expiration date once in every 100 packages; jeff, who stamps 15% of the packages, fails to stamp the expiration date once in every 90 packages; and pat, who stamps 5% of the packages, fails to stamp the expiration date once in every 200 packages. if a customer complains that her package of film does not show the expiration date, what is the probability that it was inspected by john?

Think through the following events:

A: the produce is not marked

B1: the produce is marked by John

B2: the produce is marked by Tom

B3: the produce is marked y Jeff

B4: the produce is marked by Pat

Applying the rule of elimination, the formula would be:

P (A) = P (B1) P (A|B1) + P (B2) P (A|B2) + P (B3) P (A|B3) + P (B4) P (A|B4)

And the following are the probabilities:

P(B1)P(A|B1) = (.20)(1/200) = .001

P(B2)P(A|B2) = (.60)(1/100) = .006

P(B3)P(A|B3) = (.15)(1/90) = .00167

P(B4)P(A|B4) = (.05)(1/200) = .00025

The likelihood that the product is not imprinted is equal to .001 + .006 + .00167 + .00025 = .00892

The probability that it was reviewed by John is = .001/.00892 = .1121

Weston Corporation just paid a dividend of $1.00 a share (i.e., D0 5 $1.00). The dividend is expected to grow 12% a year for the
Oduvanchick [21]

Answer:

D1 =  $1.12

D2 =  $1.25

D3 =  $1.40

D4 =  $1.48

D5 =  $1.55

Explanation:

The formula to calculate dividends for next years is:

D_n=D_{n-1}(1+g)

Where D_n is successive year dividend

D_(n-1) is previous year dividend

g is the growth rate (given as 12% = 12/100 = 0.12)

Initial dividend is $1, D_0

So, lets calculate the dividends for 5 years:

Year 1:

D1 = 1(1+0.12) = 1(1.12) = $1.12

Year 2:

D2 = D1(1+g) = 1.12(1.12) = 1.2544 = $1.2544

Year 3:

D3 = D2(1+g) = 1.2544(1.12) = 1.404928 = $1.404928

Year 4:

D4 = D3(1+g) = 1.404928(1+0.05)1.404924(1.05) = $1.4751744

Year 5:

D5 = D4(1+g) = 1.4751744(1.05) = $1.54893312

Scott and Laura are married and file a joint tax return. Laura owns a sole proprietorship (not a "specified services" business)
ehidna [41]

Solution :

QBI           300000        W-2 wages      40000

Taxable    3814000      QBP                 10000

income

                                      W-2 limit

Phase                           greater of

out MFJ

Start          315000      50% of W-2       20000

Finish        415000    or 25% of W-2     10250

                                  + 2.5% of QBP

                                  Selected 20000 Being higher As part 1

Taxable income above phase out

$\frac{381,400-315000}{100000}$        66%

Now applying gross deduction and phase out

Gross deduction Being 20% of QBI = 66000

Less : wage limit of QBI - 20000

Phase out %                                                     x 66%

Phase out amount                                           30,360

Final deduction = gross deduction- phase out amount

                         = 66,000 - 30,360

                         = 35,640

What else might be in the ethanol/aqueous interface? how could you eliminate this?
steposvetlana [31]
In the ethanol/aqueous interface, there might be intermolecular hydrogen bond. In order to eliminate this, there should be no attraction between the negative and positive poles of the different charges of an atom. There shouldn't be a hydrogen bond and magnetic attraction of polar molecules.
