Also, northern states had more factories to produce a mass amount of weapons, whereas the South had fewer factories, which caused them to have fewer weapons than the North.

1. The north had a better economy than the south, so the north had better weapons and more troops to fight in war.

2.  The north has a great transportation system. They had things such as railroads, canals and steam boats, that could help transport supplies and troops in a faster pace than the south.

3. The could not depend on agricultural economy like the North, most of their agriculture was cotton, tobacco, and rice. Achieving victory with only 3 types of crops to gain money from was not possible.
