It is even reinforced when he broke down and cried when he saw<em> a woman's white glove</em> as it has been narrated <u><em>,"He breaks down, crying."</em></u> There must be something special about the white gloves that made him cry. The audience also sees Miep and this gives them a clue that she's young as it has been narrated that<u><em> "She is pregnant"</em></u> and she's seen to have a big belly.
