There are eight parts of speech. Noun, pronoun, adjective, verb, adverb, preposition, conjunction, and interjection. An adverb is a word which tells something about the verb or the work is done. A pronoun is a word which is used in the place of a noun. An adjective is a word which tells something about the noun or the pronoun. A preposition is a word which tells about the relation of subject to the object.
