Antonio Vivaldi was an Italian composer and musician. He is known for the great amount of concertos that he created, over 500 pieces. He is said to be the greatest Baroque composer of all time. His most famous piece if Quattro Stagioni, the Four Seasons.
He convinced Louis XIV to order Hyacinthe Rigaud to paint a portrait of him. This painting was meant not to show Louis' character but to glorify the absolute monarchy.
