Andrew has always been thin. in fact, he often seems to be able to eat whatever he wants without gaining weight. the doctor told
Harrizon [31]

Thyroid Gland.

Doctor told Andrew's parents that Thyroid Gland is the cause of his fast metabolism.

Explanation:

Thyroid gland is one of the many glands present in a human body. This is an endocrine gland which is present at the neck of every human body. This gland secretes two hormones. One is called the Thyroxine and the other one is triiodothyronine. These hormones are secreted into the blood.

The normal amount of these hormones ensure the normal functions of all the cells present in a human body. A small unbalance in these hormones may lead to many problems. Sometimes the  unbalance may cause the person to get obese at a very fast rate, and sometimes the person remains thin whatever he eats.

Same is the case with Andrew. He has always been thin and he eats whatever he wants and never got fat. This is because his thyroid gland has unbalance hormones secretions that are causing his metabolism to work faster than it normally does.
