X^2 = 36...take the square root of both sides, eliminating the ^2
x = (+-) square root 36
x = (+-) 6

so x = -6 and x = 6

answer is : its the one where a dot is shown on 6 and another dot on -6, and are labeled as p and q ,respectfully

Sorry for the late answer but the answer is B because 6 x 6 is 36. The reason I thing its B is because the question is only asking for positive 36.

Elina [12.6K]

Answer:

Option C.

Step-by-step explanation:

The given table is

x   f(x)

-4    0

-2    2

0    8

2    2

4    0

6   -2

A graph of a function intersect x-axis if the function contains the points whose y-coordinate is 0.

From the given table it is clear that the value of f(x) is 0 at x=-4 and x=4. It means, the continuous function intersect the x-axis at two point (-4,0) and (4,0).

Therefore, the correct option is C.

Sergio is buying plums at $1.60
sashaice [31]

Answer:

Sergio's statement is false

Step-by-step explanation:

Cost of one pound of plum = 1.60

Total quantity of plum bought = 1

Weight of each plum = 1/4 pound

If he buys plum of $ 3.80 at the rate of $1.60 per pound, he purchases 2.375 pounds of plum

Weight of one plum = 1/4 pound, thus total number of plum purchased = 9.5

Since 0.5 pound of plum means half plum which is not possible to buy

Hence Sergio's statement is false
