History

Answer:

Dictatorships take on responsibility for most of their citizens’ needs

Explanation:

After the Great Depression, great dictatorships emerged that proved capable of resolving crises more effectively than democracies. Both the Soviet Union and the Five-Year Plan, as well as the prewar Nazi Germany, Mussolini's Italy (who was praised for "making trains run on time", that is, for ending the strikes and economic chaos that existed dominated that country) and imperial Japan, all countries that imposed strong state controls on the economy, resolved the crisis in the mid-thirties. This led to the rise of totalitarian political projects, which were supported by citizens in general, since they observed that they could solve the social and economic problems they had at that time.

Which description best fits the early settlers in Jamestown? factory workers with no outdoor experience men and women who wanted
Sunny_sXe [5.5K]

The correct answer is - military man prepared to survive in the wilderness.

Even though the first settlers of Jamestown were young and middle aged man that had military experience, and they were considered as tough man that would be able to survive in the wilderness, it didn't turned out as planned. The first settlers were totally clueless about their environment, they were catching lots of diseases and lots of them died because of that. They were not very efficient in the agricultural field, so they starved very often, and for some time relied on the natives for food. All in all, they were in terrible state, and Jamestown was on the verge of collapse for most of the time.
