ATP transports and releases energy within cells that can be used for many cellular processes. How does ATP make this energy avai
ELEN [110]

Answer:

Chemical energy that is stored in the food molecules such as sugars are converted into the chemical energy that is available for the cell to perform various cellular functions, it is stored in ATP known as the currency of the cell.

ATP has three phosphate groups attached to adenosine by a phosphoanhydride bond. When a cell requires energy it loses the third phosphate group and releases a huge amount of energy stored in the phosphoanhydride group and form ADP.

When the second phosphate group is lost by breaking the bond again energy is released again left AMP. The breaking of this bond takes place due to hydrolysis reaction

A muscle fiber will respond to a stimulus when that stimulus reaches the __________ level. recruitment resting rigor mortis thre
saveliy_v [14]

When an external stimulus crosses the threshold, a muscle fibre will respond.

The level of the threshold

 • For the identification of the electrical activity carried out by the active muscles, the threshold level is a crucial consideration.
 • A portion of the electrical activity carried out by the target muscles may be excluded if the chosen threshold level is higher than the overall activity.

What is the stimulus threshold for muscle contraction?

 • A certain stimulus magnitude is necessary for muscle contraction.
 • The threshold stimulus is the smallest amount of force needed for a stimulus to cause a muscle to contract in response.
 • If the stimulus intensity is less than this threshold value, there is no response.
