Who helped pay for settling the James River colony?
almond37 [142]
England first sent a group of colonists called the London Company in December of 1606. So England had a part in the settling of the James River colony too. John Smith ordered the colonists to clear land and plant crops that they traded with the Algonquin Indians.
John Rolfe arrived in Jamestown at the James River colony in 1611. He helped them pay for their settlement by teaching them to grow tobacco and selling it to England in 1614. That was a great success.

Please help this due in 30 mins. 3 examples as pieces of evidence to support the claim that Enlightenment was revolutionary.
kirill [66]

Answer:

The Enlightenment created many new ideas and established views of the world that had never existed before. It was a movement of intellectual thinkers in the 18th century who believed that science could explain everything in nature and society. Enlightenment thinkers at this time began to apply rational thoughts to figure out and understand nature and to guide their human existence. The Enlightenment was the great rebirth and re-creation of world-view brought about by the scientific revolution. It glorified the ability of reason and was an era of thought and intellectual accomplishment. Of all the European countries, France was the most embracing of these new ideas and philosophies and a new class emerged known as the “Philosophes” who encouraged the French public to question their society. These ideas influenced the economical, social, scientific, and political aspects of society and were a direct cause of the French Revolution.

Are sports always political?
Nitella [24]

Answer and Explanation:

Generally, sports are something that is a common and frequent argument between which or what team is better. Many people will bring sports into a political statement or argument, whether that means that which state is better in general, which team is most voted the best, or just a plain argument in general.

So yes, sports are always a political statement. From the simple games of a childhood sport game, to the Olympics. It is a constant never-ending battle of who and what sports and people on the teams are the best.
