The Ghost of Christmas Present’s words affect Scrooge because they remind Scrooge of his earlier harsh behavior and make him feel regret and shame.

Explanation:

The second ghost visiting Scrooge, shows him images of Christmas celebrations and faces him with his own prior words when he asks about Tiny Tim, this is to make him feel ashamed of what he has done and his attitude toward others, he also shows him the image of the children called "ignorance" and "want" and foresaw that he would suffer if he didn't learn his lesson.
