with an initial upward velocity of 72 feet per second. The T-shirt is caught 36 feet above the field.
a.) How long will it take the T-shirt to reach its maximum height?
b.) What is the maximum height?

a. 2.1 Seconds

b. 120.6 Feet

c. 3 \leq y \leq 120

Step-by-step explanation:

The height y at time t is

y = 33 + 64t - 16t^2

The general equation that represents the height as a function of time:

f(t) = At^2 + Bt + C

f(t) = -16t^{2} + 72t + 3

The maximum height :

t = 72/33 = 2.1sec

So, f(2.1) = -16(2.1) +72(2.1) +3 = 120.6 Feet

Therefore, 2.1 seconds will it take the T-shirt to reach its maximum height

Range of the function ,

heights ( y ) = 3 \leq y \leq 120

Simplify the problem below.
marta [7]

To solve this problem, we first must rewrite each term in the form k times a^n so that we can compute the multiplication afterwards.  To do this, we must remember that the square root of a is equivalent to a^(1/2) and that variables in the denominator have negative exponents.  Using this knowledge, we can rewrite the given expression as:

a^(1/2) * (2a² - 4a^(-1))

Now, we must recall that when terms with the same base are multiplied together, we must add the exponents when simplifying.  This step is shown below.

2a^(1/2 + 2) - 4a^(1/2 - 1)

The next step is to perform the addition of the exponents and obtain our final answer.

2a^(5/2) - 4a^(-1/2)

The above expression is your final answer.

Hope this helps!

Tasya [4]
Here in this case the answer is "a". The way to find the percentage is to add all the numbers you have which is $49. And then you need to use it to divide it with the percentage you need for the number. Which in this case you are searching for shoelaces and it $4. So you divide the cose of the shoelaces $4  to the total amount $49. And then you multiply by 100 to get the percentage. If you round it off the the tenth place you should get 8.2%

What’s the answer to this question
cestrela7 [59]
Since it says -81 + -14, you add those two numbers which is 95 the you would add a negative because the highest number is negative. So the answer is -95 ft.
