This is how I chose to do this:
Split the shape into three: a rectangle and two triangles. Then find the area of each.
Rectangle: 12 x 6 = 72
Triangles (if you take both triangles, you can make a square, that's what I'm doing): 18 - 12 = 6; 6 x 6 = 36
Add the two to get the complete area: 72 + 36 = 108
Your answer will be 108 feet³.

Hope this helps,

Which is the more reasonable measurement of the distance between the tracks on a railroad: 1.435 ⋅ 10−3 mm or 1.435 ⋅ 103 mm? Ju
SVEN [57.7K]
The best answer is 1.435 ·103 because while they both are really small for a rail road track that one is bigger. the final answer for that is 147.805mm.

Answer:

X= 43

y=120

Step-by-step explanation:

3x + 8 + X = 180

4x = 180 - 8

X = 43

2y +17+X = 180

2y + 17 + 43 = 180

y = 180 - 60

= 120

Which table best represents the system of equations below. y=x-4 y=(2x-17)
vekshin1

Answer:

To make a table u need to have coordinates, (x, y).

Solve for them using substitution:

y = x - 4 ↔ x = y + 4

y = (2x - 17)

PLUG IN TO y = (2x - 17).

y = (2(y+4) - 17)

Solve for y:

y = 2y + 8 - 17

y = 2y - 9

-1y = -9

y = 9

Solve for x:

x = (9) + 4

x = 13

Keep solving for x and y to have your coordinates for your table.
