Width=w
length=l
w+2=l
2(w+l)=88
2(w+w+2)=88
2(2w+2)=88
4w+4=88
4w=84
w=21
21+2=23
The length of a rectangle if the perimeter is 88 inches and the length is 2 inches more than the width is 23.

How do you find the slope using a graph
kicyunya [14]
The y intercept is seven so you would start by placing a point on (0,7). Then you count Down four points because the slope is a negative number and then count nine points to the right. You would have to keep counting down four points and the right nine points until your line was long enough.

Because the shape is a cube, we know that all sides must be 5cm. To find the area of a side, you do base × height, so 5 × 5 = 25. If you look at the net, you'll notice that there are 6 faces, which means you have to do 25 × 6 = 150cm^2. I hope this helps!

Please help me simplify these expressions
Rina8888 [55]

Answer:

4. -2s^9

7. 8b^10

Step-by-step explanation:

First, focus on the number part of the expression. For 4), multiply -2 x -1 x -1 = -2. Then, look at the exponents. When you're multiplying exponents with the same base (in number 4, the base is s), you can add the exponents.

2+3+4 = 9; which makes it s^9. Multiply -2 x s^9, which gives you -2s^9.

Same thing for 7). Multiply all the numbers first. this gives you 8. (Remember two negatives equals a positive). Add all of the exponents of b together, which gives you 10. (when a variable has no exponent, it means that the exponent is 1.) Multiplying 8 and b^10 should give you 8b^10.

It may help to brush up on exponent rules and sign rules.

16)

(4x + 2) is equal to 150 because they are vertical angles. When two lines intersect, on the opposite sides of the x like these are will be equal to one another. So let’s make them equal to each other.

4x + 2 = 150

Subtract 2

4x = 148

Divide by 4

x = 37

So it will be A

17)

The two angles added up with each other

34 + 146 = 180

Since these two add up to 180 degrees, they would be supplementary angles.

So, H

18)

The two angles will make a 90 degree angle (as shown with the little box formed in the corner)

When angles add up to make 90 degrees, they will be complimentary angles.

So, C.
