For my belief is that if we live another century or so—I am talking of the common life which is the real life and not of the lit

tle separate lives which we live as individuals—and have five hundred a year each of us and rooms of our own; if we have the habit of freedom and the courage to write exactly what we think; if we escape a little from the common sitting-room and see human beings not always in their relation to each other but in relation to reality; and the sky, too, and the trees or whatever it may be in themselves; if we look past Milton’s bogey, for no human being should shut out the view; if we face the fact, for it is a fact, that there is no arm to cling to, but that we go alone and that our relation is to the world of reality and not only to the world of men and women, then the opportunity will come and the dead poet who was Shakespeare’s sister will put on the body which she has so often laid down. Drawing her life from the lives of the unknown who were her forerunners, as her brother did before her, she will be born. As for her coming without that preparation, without that effort on our part, without that determination that when she is born again she shall find it possible to live and write her poetry, that we cannot expect, for that would be impossible. But I maintain that she would come if we worked for her, and that so to work, even in poverty and obscurity, is worth while.

Impact of fandom culture . Short essay
inessss [21]

Answer:

As social media continues to take the world by storm, people have come together to form certain groups, and many outsiders have noticed this social gathering. These groups come together over a common interest in some form of media, whether it be a show, band, or other popular interest. These people and the groups they are a part of have been titled “fandoms.” Though most treat this new rise of enthusiasts as a trend, there are certain people who believe it has a much more significant meaning. A rather recent study of fandom culture in the Cinema Journal by Allison McCracken states: “As teachers of young people, it is vital that we understand how these new youth subcultures are engaging with media to contextualize these current practices for them (historically, politically, and culturally) in informed ways.” (152) This point, as well as other similar claims for these fan groups, is a big example of the base for the successful outcome of fandoms, some dating to as early as the late 90’s. However, the lack of realization of fandoms is what keeps them in the dark. People will recognize the good and bad outcomes of a successful or horrid fandom, yet fail to see just where it originated from. To most, a fandom is unheard of, and this is where the real issue starts. Despite being overlooked and undermined in most cases, the benefits of learning more about fandoms and their effects on social media users is necessary to understand the minds of our generation, as well as the inner workings of the fan community itself.

How does nabokov organize his piece? connect the different parts?
Dafna1 [17]

Nabokov organized his essay in an exceedingly typical manner; he states his plan then uses proof to support it. He additionally explains his read on what makes a decent author initial then what makes a decent reader. This is smart as a result of one should initial perceive the author before understanding the reader. He uses samples of what created a decent author to clarify what would create a decent reader. “The writer is the initial man to mop it and to form the natural objects it contains (…) The panting and happy reader, and there they spontaneously embrace and are linked forever if the book lasts forever.” This possibly implies that a good author makes a cheerful reader. so a cheerful reader is one that has understood the piece clearly, creating them a good reader. author then offers his definition of literature before closing the essay, giving the reader that last little bit of information that wraps literature, the reader, and also the author all at once, “To the story teller we turn for entertainment, for mental excitement of the simplest kind, for emotional participation, for the pleasure of traveling in some remote region in space or time.”
