Photorespiration is the process which takes place in the conditions observed with high atmospheric temperature.

During these conditions, the binding affinity of the RUBISCO enzyme increases for the oxygen which leads to the formation of two compounds mainly which is a three-carbon compound called 3- phosphoglycerate and a two-carbon compound called 2-phosphoglycolate.

The three-carbon compound can enter the Calvin cycle but two carbon compound cannot enter the Calvin cycle and thus is usually lost.

Thus, option-A is the correct answer.
