Answer:

On the agarose gel, primarily four different forms of plasmid DNA is observed which are explained below.

Explanation:

  • Alkaline Lysis Method is the commonly used biochemical technique for isolating plasmid DNA from bacterial cells.
  • When the isolated plasmid DNA is subjected to electrophoresis on an agarose gel and observed after ethidium bromide staining, it is seen to get separated into four distinct bands sequentially from bottom to top,
  1. Circular and single-stranded form which migrates fastest among all.
  2. Supercoiled form which migrates after the circular form.
  3. Linear form which migrates after the supercoiled form.
  4. Nicked circular form which migrates last.
  • The variation in intensity of the bands determines which form of the plasmids is mostly present in the isolated sample.
  • If minimal damage is done to the plasmids, the band of supercoiled form  of the plasmid will glow with maximum intensity.

Gnom [1K]

Answer:The cytoplasm consists of a fluid, called _cytosol_ , and several functional units of the cell, called ____organelles________ .

Explanation:a cell is made up of a plasma membrane and a cytoplasm.the cytoplasm consist of a clear liquid called cytosol.

In this cytosol, other structures in the cell is embedded.

Organelles are the structures present in the cell that carries out the functional duties of the cell.

An example is chloroplast present in plant cells.this organelle is involved in the process of photosynthesis.

other examples of organelles include Golgi apparatus, rough endoplasmic reticulum, centrioles etc.

Submit your 150-word summary that explains and compares animal welfare laws in your state and county.
-Dominant- [34]

Answer:

Animal welfare means how an animal is coping with the conditions in which it lives. An animal is in a good state of welfare if (as indicated by scientific evidence) it is healthy, comfortable, well-nourished, safe, able to express innate behavior, and if it is not suffering from unpleasant states such as pain, fear, and distress. Good animal welfare requires disease prevention and veterinary treatment, appropriate shelter, management, nutrition, humane handling, and humane slaughter. Animal welfare refers to the state of the animal; the treatment that an animal receives is covered by other terms such as animal care, animal husbandry, and humane treatment.1 Protecting an animal's welfare means providing for its physical and mental needs. What are the 5 animal welfare needs? The Five Welfare Needs a simple framework for your pet's health and well-being. The need for a suitable environment. The need for a suitable diet. The need to exhibit normal behavioral patterns. The need to be housed with or apart from other animals. The need to be protected from pain, suffering, and disease.
