History

The Treaty of Versailles was devastating for Germany, especially because it heavily affected its economy. Both the country's leaders, and the people, were very angered at the other countries for imposing such restrictions. That led to a very mass of people that started to hate the other countries because of the conditions they made them live in. This was used by the politicians that had similar feelings, so eventually that frustration and hatred resulted in aggression toward the other countries, leading to the World War II.

What is one way that Southerners attempted to protect their ports
Delvig [45]

The evasion of the naval blockade during the Civil War was a set of operations designed to avoid the situation of blockade that the unionist side imposed on the Confederate side during the American Civil War, which stretched over 5,600 kilometers (3,500 miles) , from the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, and to the Mississippi River. The evasion was carried out by means of steamships, many of them specially built to reach a high speed for the time, that had to sail normally at night to not be detected. If they were sighted, the ships (called blockade runners) tried to maneuver or simply surpass any Union ship that was acting as a blocking patrol. The boats used for this task were generally privately owned, often operating with a privateering license issued by the Confederate States of America.

Which of following events was not part of the Compromise of 1850?
shusha [124]

The correct answer is A) Slavery would be abolished in Washington DC.

The Compromise of 1850 was a critical law, as it helped to prevent the Civil War from starting in the 1850's. Due to America's expansion into the west and the newly gained territory after the Mexican American War, Northern and Southern politicians were arguing constantly over whether or not slavery will exist in these new territories.

To make both sides satisfied, Henry Clay helped to develop the Compromise of 1850.This included California becoming a free state, New Mexico and Utah using popular sovereignty to determine whether or not slavery would exist, and the slave trade would be outlawed in Washington DC.  However, this law said nothing about the actual institution of slavery in DC.

Find the angle between 8:25 O'clock
snow_tiger [21]

Considering the rules of angles and degrees, the angle between the minute hand and the hour hand of a clock when the time is 8:25 am is "<u>102° 30' degrees</u>."

<h3>Calculation illustration</h3>
  • Since 8:25, the hour hand will have moved past the 8

  • The hour hand moves 0.5 a degree per minute.

  • Therefore, in 25 minutes, it will be 12.5 degrees past the 8.

  • Given that the minute hand moves from the 5 to the 8, it rotates through 90 degrees.

Therefore, the total angle between the minute hand and the hour hand is equal to 90+12.5 =102.5

=<u>></u><u> </u><u>1</u><u>02° 30' degrees.</u>

Hence, in this case, it is concluded that the correct answer is "<u>102° 30' degrees</u>."
