The taxonomic classification given by Linnaeus includes seven levels of hierarchy which are as follows :
Kingdom
Phylum
Class
Order
Family
Genus
Species
Out of these seven levels as we move down from kingdom to the species level, the inclusiveness decreases, and the exclusiveness increases. This means that the kingdom is the largest category containing many organisms while the <em>species level has the least number of organisms that are unique in their features. </em>
