Let's put it in the second equation
3/4x-3=1/4x+1
3/4 x -1/4 x = 1+3

X= 4*4/2
x=8
Put x= 8 in first equation
y= 3/4 *8 -3
y=6-3
y=3
Check the answer
3=3/4 *8 -3
3=6-3
