5) So for parallelogram ABCD, ∠B ≅ ∠D, and ∠A ≅ ∠C. Further, ∠B and ∠A are supplementary (i.e., their sum is 180°), and ∠D and ∠C are also supplementary.
So, we have that m∠B = m∠D. Therefore,
6x-42=3x+15\\3x=57\\x=19

Now, let's substitute for x back into the expression for either ∠B or ∠D to find it's angle measure.
m∠B = 6(19)-42=72
Now, remember that ∠B or ∠D are supplements of ∠A.
So, m∠B + m∠A = 180°.
That means m∠A = 180° – 72° = 108°.
That seems reasonable, because A appears to be an obtuse angle.

Degrees Celsius and degrees Fahrenheit are related by C=5/9(F-32).What is F in terms of C?
valina [46]

We are given: Degrees Celsius and degrees Fahrenheit are related by formula

C=\frac{5}{9} (F-32)

To find : Solve formula for F in terms of C.

Solution: We have , C=\frac{5}{9} (F-32)

First we need to get rid 9 from right denominator.

In order to get rid 9 from right denominator, we need to multiply equation both sides by 9.

9*C=9*\frac{5}{9} (F-32)

9C = 5 (F-32).

Distributing 5 on right side over (F-32), we get 5*F - 5*32 = 5F - 160.

9C = 5F - 160.

Adding 160 on both sides,

9C+160 = 5F - 160+160.

9C+160 =5F

Dividing both sides by 5, we get

(9C+160)/5 =5F/5.

\frac{9C+160}{5}=F

Splitting fraction 1/5, we get

F= \frac{1}{5} (9C+160).

From looking at the ruler, the length of the segment is 6 cm.

I think the scale is 6 cm, and in inches that would be about 2 in, (2.3622) to be exact. For the sake of this problem I would just say 2 inches.
