Let's try some of the suffixes start ing with consonants. The most common ones are ful-ness-ly-met. Ex:useful/forgetfulness/badly/astonishment.As you see there is no change at all.We just add it.So the answer is D.

The correct answer is to D. add the suffix to the end of the word 

example: motionless, clueless (nothings changed, so add the suffix to the end)
