Because of the geography, the Japanese relied on the sea for many aspects of daily life. The terrain is mountainous which means there is not a lot of good land for farming since japan is located on a chain of islands called archipelago made up of four main islands and thousands of smaller ones.

Why were poorer citizens excluded from voting until the 1820s?
Papessa [141]

Answer:

it was believed that they didn't have the education or experience to vote wisely

Explanation:

Prior to the 1820's a requirement of the United States constitution was that citizens were to have property qualifications before they could vote. They were to own a property in the United States and regularly pay their taxes before they could vote. Apparently, poor citizens could not meet these qualifications. They also were neither educated nor experienced to vote.

By the 1820's many states dropped the requirement to own properties before voting and this resulted in more participation in voting.

In early-nineteenth-century industrial societies, why did migration to urban areas increase so rapidly?
valkas [14]
With an influx of jobs, people raced to the cities. With the technology in farming increasing, food could now be made by 10 people, not 100. This allowed many people to leave their farms and move to the vast and populated cities.

Hope this Helps! :)
