Blood pressure functions as controlled variable in a system which has negative feedback.

Blood pressure is termed as the pressure which is found in the blood on the arteries walls when heart is pumping all over the body.

Blood pressure is termed as optimal if it reads under 120/80 mmHg and normal if it reads 125/80 mmHg.

It can be a risk factor if blood pressure is high for a long time and may cause heart disease. High blood pressure persistently increases when a person gets older and older.

Blood pressure should be checked regularly if it keeps on being high and then it is controlled.

The answer is Controlled variable

Constriction of blood vessel will reduce its diameter and increase the resistance. this will lead to higher blood pressure. The purpose of blood vessel constriction is to control the blood pressure at a certain range to make sure the blood could be distributed. Blood pressure would be the controlled variable of this mechanism.
