One example of absolute value in the real world is subtraction.
For example, you have 17_____ and your friend has 62_____.
if you want to see how many more _____ your friend has, you want to make sure that the answer will be positive. The way that you do this is you subtract |17 - 62| = 45
(I know.... You could just do 62 - 17, but absolute value can be used so you can subtract |a - b| and |b - a|, and they will turn out the same.)

HELP I DONT GET THIS AT ALL. ITS ABOUT INEQUALITIES EXPLANATION NEEDED
wel

Answer:

Since the slope of the line is (31/4 - 25/4) / (5/4 - 3/4) = 3 that means that for every 1 that x increases, y increases by 3 so an example could be 1 3/4 for x and 9 1/4 for y.

Triangle ABC is transformed to create triangle MNL?
Dahasolnce [82]

Answer:

The transformation is rigid because the corresponding side lengths and angles are congruent.

The perimeter cf a rectangle i: 56 inches" the ratio of the length of the width is 6 : 1. Find the length and the width.
sergejj [24]

Answer: Length = 24; width =4

Step-by-step explanation

Since the ratio of the length to width is 6:1

Let the length  be represented as  6x

And the width be  = x

Such that that the Perimeter of the rectangle which is

Perimeter = 2(length + width)  becomes

56 = 2(6x + x)

56/2 = 6x+x

28 = 7x

x = 4

Width = 4

Length = 6x= 6 x 4 = 24
