The answer is 16 horsepower. Brake horsepower (BHP) is the measure of an engine's horsepower (HP) before the loss in power caused by the gearbox, alternator, differential, water pump, and other auxiliary components such as power steering pump, muffled exhaust system, etc.

Answer:

hi your question is incomplete because you didn't give a value for the power losses. hence i will just give you the relationship between brake horsepower and rated horsepower

the relationship is this: Hp (rated horse power) = BHP ( brake horsepower) - (power losses)

assuming a power loss of 10. the rated horse power will be = 20 - 10

10 hp

Explanation:

brake horsepower is the input horsepower of a system before power losses occur in the system like with a vehicle, the losses are caused mainly by the gear box, alternator, steering pump and the others

rated horsepower is the output horsepower of a system i.e the power needed to drive an engine continuously without failure after the power losses have been considered and taken out of the brake horsepower.

Dr. Williams conducted a survey in the mall, measuring the shopping habits of people ages 15, 25, 35, 45, and 55, with 10 people

Answer:

A cross-sectional study

Explanation:

The best fit would be cross-sectional study, for one because it is observational, meaning there is no manipulation of variables like you would find in an experiment. Secondly, it is comparing populations within different groups, in this case age groups. Although, this can also be done through a longitudinal study, but as the name suggests, it is longitudinal so it is done over longer periods of time.

What does it mean if a paint sample "matches" a known sample from a vehicle? Does this indicate the same source? Why or why not
lbvjy [14]
If a paint chip were to match a paint chip from a known sample, there is only a 1 inch 33,000 chance that the paint chip came from another vehicle. While this doesn't link a particular vehicle to a paint chip without question, it does mean that there is a very good chance that a paint chip comes from that car if the samples match incomposition and other factors.
