why might twentieth century thought reject the importance of history? what might we learn from clio’s example of studying histor
loris [4]

Because the twentieth century's events demonstrated communism to be a catastrophic failure, twentieth century philosophy rejected the value of history.

Why was the 20th century such an important era in world history?

The Spanish flu pandemic, World Wars I and II, nuclear weapons, nuclear power, and space exploration, nationalism and decolonization, scientific achievements, and the Cold War and post-Cold War conflicts dominated the 20th century and contributed to the formation of the modern era.

The First World War and the start of the Second World War in 1914 and 1939, respectively, are examples of the twentieth century's severe brutality.

Based on your prior knowledge of battle of Iwo Jima for what other reasons would invasion of the Japanese islands be a concern f
maxonik [38]
It become a concern of the military planners due to the high casualty the marines suffered during the taking of Iwo Jima. Also the battle proved that even though the battle was an American Victory the Japanese army is prepared to die defending and willing to wage a suicide attacks even though they already know that they lost the war. That also attacking the Japanese Home Islands would be a costly attack of lives of american soldiers and the new strategy develop in Iwo Jima would be an arduous battle if the Americans would invade the Japanese Island with the Japanese people that is already to prepare to die fighting.
