Describe how the coordinates of an ordered pair are used to plot a point on a coordinate plane ?

The line going from side to side is the x coordinate and the first number in the ordered pair the second number is the y coordinate which is the line going up and down. You take the first number and go to it on the line going side by side then you stay there and go up or down from that position how many spaces the second number is.
