There are many characteristics that are significant about Renaissance art. For example, Rennaissance art was responsible for "rediscovering" the art and culture of the classical world (Ancient Greece and Rome). Moreover, it adopted new topics to present in art, such as the appreciation of the human body. The art of the Renaissance was also more individualistic, more humanistic and more philosophical. Finally, it was also more abundant and more valued than art in previous time periods.
