Imagine you are a colonist around 16 years old in the time period leading up to the Revolution.
Oksanka [162]

Answer:

Of course i would be a patriot

Explanation:

As a proud 16 year old patriot, a primary reason i would use to convince others to join me is the fact that the British rule is unjust and tyrannical. The constant taxation and new laws are cruel to the colonists. On top of that, war comes and as a patriot I get to fight on my home land, so i have the advantage of fighting on familiar turf. My fighting spirit is stronger too, knowing that I am fighting for my rights and freedoms rather than fighting for a ruler. Additionally, I have great ports for trade in the north and plenty of prolific land to cultivate for future economic sustainability for generations to come in the south.

I hope I was able to convince you to become a patriot as well :)
