Violence is a common theme in television programs. Children who spend four hours daily in front of such material are gradually conditioned to accept violence; thus, parental guidance must be imposed by parents or guardians.

Robbery, fighting, and killing dominate the theme of many programs on TV and it is not limited to adult material only. Even children’s anime programs and video games are filled with violence. It is believed that a regular seeing and hearing of a certain idea or experience will condition the mind of the viewer to accept it as normal. Eventually, he will find himself not only accepting them but also doing them himself. This is surely one of the reasons why some children hurt or bully their peers and at times cause them to be so depressed and commit suicide.

The parents and guardians must always be available to give guidance to the children when they are watching TV. As much as possible, they should choose the movies and materials their children should be watching. It is also important for them to explain to their children that the violence they see is not worth doing. In addition, they should inform their kids that those acts are punishable by law. Lastly and most importantly, they must limit their children’s exposure to violence. They should find ways that kids learn to spend time on physical and worthwhile activities such as sports and science or academic projects.

Answer:

1. Where did you go to school?

2. When did she arrive?

3. Why did he eat so much?

4. What did they do yesterday?

5. Who did you meet at the party?

6. How did she come to work this morning?

7. Where did I leave my glasses?

8. When did he get home last night?

9. What did you do at the weekend?

10. Why did she get angry?

11. Who did they talk to earlier?

12. What did we do last Christmas?

13. Why did it rain on my birthday?

14. How did she finish so quickly?

15. Where did he go after the class last week?

Explanation:

For this activity, we must make questions in the simple past.

To do that, we simply need to use the auxiliary "did" right before the subject and after the Wh- word applied. For example, if I want to ask someone what movie they watched last night, I would use the question:

- What movie did you watch last night?

And that is it! There is no need to change the main verb like we would do in the affirmative form. The auxiliary "did" already shows that the question is in the past. Compare the sentences below:

Aff.: You went to the beach.

Int.: Where did you go?

Sarah's parents gave her a goal to clean the bathroom twice a month until the end of the year. Which part of the SMART criteria
SpyIntel [72]
M- Measurable

This goal is Specific: it tells Sarah what to do and how often, Assignable: Sarah knows it's her own responsibility, Realistic: This is an activity Sarah is capable of completing, and Time Related: Sarah knows she needs to do this twice a month for a year. There are no guidelines though, for how the cleaning will be measured. The M part of a SMART goal would tell her how to know  when she has completely cleaned the bathroom to her parents' standards.
