<span>A series of trials and prosecutions of people accused of witchcraft happened in Massachusetts from February 1692 to May 1693. It resulted to executions of twenty-four people mostly women, one was pressed to death and four died in prison. There were nineteen people hanged during the Salem witch trials. </span>
