rate of change for 2x+4y=10

here rate of change can be found by finding slope

the general form for slope is y=mx+b

isolating y on the left side:

2x+4y=10

4y=y=\frac{-2x+10}{4} \\-2x+10

from here slope is -1/2

Rate of change =-1/2

A circle has an arc of length 56 pie that is intercepted by a central angle of 120°.
Salsk061 [2.6K]

Answer:

Therefore radius is 84 units.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

arc length = 56 pie

Central angle = θ = 120°

pi = 3.14

To Find:

Radius = r =?

Solution:

If the θ  measured in degree then the arc length is given as

\textrm{arc length}=\dfrac{\theta}{360\°}\times 2\pi r

Where r = radius, θ = Central angle

On substituting the values we get

56\pi=\dfrac{120}{360}\times 2\pi\times r\\\\r=\dfrac{3\times 56}{2}=84\\\therefore r=84\ unit

Therefore radius is 84 units.

In order for the Line m to be parallel with Line n :

Angle (3x + 5)° should be Equal to Angle 65°

Because they are Corresponding Angles and If two parallel lines are cut by a Transversal , The Corresponding angles should be Equal.

⇒ (3x + 5)° = 65°

⇒ 3x = 65 - 5°

⇒ 3x = 60°

⇒ x = 20°

Let a and b be real numbers. Find all vectors (2,a,b) orthogonal to (1, -5, -4). What are all the vectors that are orthogonal to
malfutka [58]

Answer:

B) vector of the form (2,r, (2-5r)/4)

Step-by-step explanation:

(2,b,c) is orthogonal to (1,-5,-4) if

2*1-5b-4c=0, i.e,

5b+4c=2

We have equation with two variables, so we know that we wil have infinity lot solutions.

Let’s b be some real number r, so we have:

4c=2-5r, i.e,

c=(2-5r)/4.

So there is infinite lot of othogonal vectors of the form: (2, r, (2-5r)/c)) where r is any real number.
